X MEN FIRST CLASS: FIRE
This week in lesson we looked at camera shots. As a class we first looked at King Arthur. The opening scene was a long shot showing us the setting of the scene, which was a mountainous mount and frozen lake. It also then shows a small group of people standing against a large group which leads us to root for the larger group. The scene then continues with other varieties of shots. Such as close up.
Then we paired up and choose a clip “X-men first class- fire” it opens with medium shot showing us one character, at what looks like plane crash. This straight away grabs our attention. Also there is reverse shot with the scene when all the characters are looking at a dead men hanging in thin air. This is effective as there is mixture of two shots a medium long shot and a reverse shot, as they work perfectly together They are many other diffrent shots used with the scene, such as long shot etc.A Dutch scener is used near the end when the camerta moves in for a close up on one of the main charectors. This shot mixed with the dutch angle is very effacive as we see that the charector does not show any emotion within his eyes, when missles are lauched at him.
