CLAMPS

In lesson today we looked at CLAMPS Which is part of mise en scene. CLAMPS  stands for: Costume ~ which is what the actors are wearing. Lighting~ how the scene is light up, which could be dark or light.  Actors which is the charactors are they old, young etc. Movement~ is simply how they are moving is it a fast paced slow etc. Props~ this are objects used within a scene to emphasis the charector.Settings~ this is where the scene is set. It could be an old house or a pub.

We then looked at a clip called " The chase" episode one.

The Chase (DVD)While watching this we had to write some of the CLAMPS within the episode. Some I wrote down where C~The characters wore wedding clothing showing they were attending a wedding. L~ the lighting was daylight as this was featured in the day. A~ the actors  one of the key ones was a vetenary doctor, who was an old man. M~the characters movement was very fast as they were trying to get dressed for the wedding very quickly. P~ many props were used one of the key ones was keys,  which enter thrown down the drain as a sign of an ending reletionship. Lastily S~ the setting. This was a church as this was a wedding.

This all showed how mise en scene works to produce. Great episode in all.
